Your phone needs to be an unlocked dual-band, tri-band or quad-band GSM phone capable of functioning on the 1800 MHz GSM band in order to accept the SIM card.

Phone Setup
- Charge your phone before you leave for the UK.
- For SIM card purchases: snap the SIM chip out of the SIM card (be sure to keep the SIM card). Take the battery out of your phone. Insert your SIM chip with the metal plate facing down so it makes contact with the metal prongs (if renting, SIM is already installed).
Activating Your Service
- Before you leave, call 011-44-800-0499000 from a landline.
- Follow the prompts to activate the phone number and apply the 12-digit E-Voucher provided.
- Your prepaid account will be activated within 24 hours.

Service Life:
Your UK SIM card is good for 180 days from the last call or text message. The service will be disconnected after 90 days and your account/phone number will be placed on hold for 90 more days. Unused credit will be lost after 60 days of inactivity. If one year lapses then your SIM card and phone number will expire. You can add more talk time to reactivate/extend the life of your SIM card.
