Your Phone Number
Your phone needs to be an unlocked dual-band, tri-band or quad-band GSM phone capable of functioning on the 1800 MHz GSM band in order to accept the SIM card.

UK Country Code: 44 + UK Cell Number: 11-digit phone number starting with 07

Phone Setup

• Charge your phone before you leave for the UK.
• For SIM card purchases: snap the SIM chip out of the SIM card (be sure to keep the SIM card).  Take the battery out of your phone.  Insert your SIM chip with the metal plate facing down so it makes contact with the metal prongs (if renting, SIM is already installed).

Activating Your Service

• Before you leave, call 011-44-800-0499000 from a landline.
• Follow the prompts to activate the phone number and apply the 12-digit E-Voucher provided.
• Your prepaid account will be activated within 24 hours.

Checking Your Credit

The most convenient way to add talk time is by calling Cellular Abroad. We will read you a recharge code over the phone. This service is available 24/7. UK Prepaid Talktime Recharge only $19.00 for 5£ of talk time credit Have extra talk time credit to add to your prepaid account as soon as you arrive. Each of these recharges gives about 125 minutes of calls to the US or Canada or 100 minutes within the United Kingdom. Incoming calls are free while in the UK.

These rates are expressed in UK Pounds and are based on per-minute charges.  Remember, all incoming calls are free regardless of origin.
