SIM Chip Installation
Here's all it takes to install a SIM chip into a typical GSM phone. In most cases, you'll first need to pop the chip out of the credit-card sized SIM card. (Hold the card flat on a table with your thumb on top of the chip and then pull the card up by one corner to neatly break off the chip.) Note: Some phones may have a different way of opening the battery cover, or of releasing the battery or of securing the SIM card. If your phone uses a plastic "cage" to hold the SIM card, you will need to slide this housing to release the catch and then flip open the "bookcover"-style holder. (Some Motorola models are like this. Incidentally, the Motorola V66 SIM chip is installed underneath a removable faceplate, not under the battery.) If unsure how to proceed with the SIM chip installation, consult your phone's user guide.

Unfortunately, due to accidents or negligence, some of our customers return phones without all the original parts and pieces. Replacing these missing or damaged items is an expensive and time-consuming process for us. The following list details the replacement costs that will be charged for missing or defaced parts.

FedEx Online can help you determine transit times.

Customers are responsible for all shipping charges. We do not require a signature or a release form for domestic shipments. All packages / rentals arrive with no signature requirement, with the exception of international shipments. Cellular Abroad accepts no responsibility for the non-receipt of international shipments.

Note: While re-routing of shipments may be possible, be advised that this usually adds an extra day to shipments and FedEx charges $15 for this added service, so you would be billed this additional amount.

Rental phone packages ship with prepaid FedEx return-ship labels. Cellular Abroad will not reimburse anyone who loses their return-ship label or who ships using their own shipping method. This also applies to returned merchandise. Note that rental periods conclude when shipping boxes are picked up by FedEx, not when they arrive back at our offices. Many customers panic about the return ship time adding to their rental time and return their phones via express shipment. This is not necessary.
