Cellular Abroad SIM Card for Spain
Cellular Abroad offers the Lebara SIM card for use in Spain. Activating Your Service:

Due to new laws regarding the use of prepaid services in Spain, the Spanish government requires you to fill out, scan and email a registration form, and a copy of your passport, before your SIM card can be activated for use in Spain. Please follow the instructions below to activate your SIM card.

• To activate your service you will need to fill out a registration form that you can download here. Fill out all required fields as per this sample form.
• You will need to email this form together with a scanned copy of your passport to info@telkosur.es. Please print legibly and send good quality scans to avoid any problems with your activation.
• The SIM card will be activated in less than 24 hours, or the next business day.
• When you arrive in Spain, insert your SIM card and power on your phone - You will receive a message confirming your telephone number. REMEMBER: Do not insert your SIM card until you arrive in Spain!

Checking Your Credit:
Dial 2224 from your Lebara Mobile and follow the voice prompts.

Recharging Your SIM Card:
The most convenient way is by calling Cellular Abroad 001 310 8627100 (8am to 8pm EST, 7 days a week, English speaking reps) before or during your trip.

You may also call us 7 days/week Toll Free from a Spanish landline at 00 800 3623 3333 to purchase call credit.  Lebara Mobile top-up vouchers may also be available locally in Spain at most cellphone dealerships and convenience stores.

Spain (Lebara) Prepaid Recharge Card only $24.00 for €10 of talk time credit Have extra talk time credit to add to your prepaid account as soon as you arrive in Spain. Each of these recharges gives about 167 minutes of calls to the US or about 67 minutes in Spain. Incoming calls are free while at your destination. Special Promo until 11/02/09: For every €10 recharge voucher purchase, get an additional €2.50 Euros of call credit – that’s an additional 42 minutes of calls back to the US or 17 minutes within Spain. This will automatically be added to your credit.

Applying Talk Time Credit to your account
Even if you have zero credit, since incoming calls are always free, you will still be able to receive calls.

If you receive a physical voucher,  

1. Carefully remove the scratch-off coating on the back of your recharge card, exposing the PIN code.
2. Follow instructions on the recharge voucher to add the credit to your SIM.

If you receive a voucher code over the phone through Cellular Abroad while overseas, you will need to enter the voucher codes we provided you with over the phone.

Voicemail:
To activate your voicemail box, dial 177 and follow the prompts.

1. To reach the voicemail system, dial 177 from your mobile phone.
2. To reach the voicemail system from a fixed or other mobile phone, dial 662-828-662.

Customer Service:

• From you handset – dial 2222 <send>.
• From a landline – dial +901 810 810 (omit + if calling within Spain).

Service Life:
If there has been no activity on the SIM for 90 days the SIM will expire and cannot be reactivated.  This includes making or receiving calls and adding talk time to the SIM.

To inquire about the possibility of extending your SIM card’s service life while outside the SIM card’s country of origin, contact the telecom provider's customer service, Cellular Abroad does not provide support for this feature.
