Dialing Information
Your phone needs to be an unlocked dual-band, tri-band or quad-band GSM phone capable of functioning on the 900/1800 MHz GSM band in order to accept the SIM card.
Your Singapore Cell to US: 008 – 1 – area code – phone number
US to Your Singapore Cell: 011 – 65 – phone number
Your Singapore Cell Number to Singapore: area code - phone number
Singapore to Your Singapore Cell Number: area code - phone number
Save on calls to Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and USA. Just dial 018 – country code – area code – phone number.
Important: US toll free numbers are not accessible from overseas. Be sure to get valid international numbers prior to your departure.
Please Note: There is no support for service when roaming outside of Singapore.
Rental Setup
- Make sure the phone is charged and the menu settings are in English.
For SIM Card Purchases Only
Snap out the SIM chip from the SIM card and insert the chip into your GSM Phone with the metal portion facing down as to make contact with the contact prongs.
- Make sure the phone is charged and the menu settings are in English.
Activating Your Service
- Once you arrive in Singapore, call StarHub’s Prepaid Mobile Service (24/7) at 9850 0000.
- You may begin calling.
Checking Your Credit
- Dial *113# <send> to find out your card balance, expiry date, free SMS balance, free airtime balance, and tenure.
- Or, you can dial 9850 0000 to reach StarHub’s Prepaid 24-hr toll free hotline.
Purchasing More Talk Time
You may purchase a recharge card called the GREEN Prepaid Top-up Cards at 7-Eleven, Cheers, Econ/iEcon, Watson’s stores and Singpost outlets islandwide.
Recharging Your Card

Dial 9850 0000 and follow the voice prompts.
- Or, dial *112*<10 – digit voucher number>*<6 – digit PIN number>#<send>
Voicemail
To activate your Voicemail box:
- Dial *130#<send>
- You will receive an SMS once the setup is complete.
To retrieve voicemail messages
- Dial 1303
- Your default password is 8888.
Troubleshooting
If you are unable to make or receive calls switch networks on your phone. Consult your phone’s manual. The steps will be like these:
- Menu > Settings/Setup > Network > Available Network/Change Network > Search
- Select a different network carrier than the one currently shown.
If you are receiving no reception bars, emergency calls only, SOS, or no service
check your phones band setting: Consult your phone’s manual. The steps will be like these:
- Menu > Settings/Setup > Network > Network Setup >Band
- Make sure you select 900/1800

Service Life
Please ensure that you top up your GREEN Prepaid Card at least once every 6 months. Your GREEN Prepaid Card and its balance will expire if no top ups were made within 6-month period.
To inquire about the possibility of extending your SIM card’s service life while outside the SIM card’s country of origin, contact the telecom provider's customer service, Cellular Abroad does not provide support for this feature.
