Activating your service:

• Be sure that battery is charged
• Insert the Pakistani SIM card into your GSM cell phone (snap out the Pakistan SIM chip from the SIM chip holder and insert the chip into your GSM Phone with the metal portion facing down as to make contact with the contact prongs. You will usually find your phone's SIM tray underneath the battery of your GSM cellphone).
• Turn on your phone
• Check that phone powers on normally and that you can access menus
• Go to Pakistan before using the phone to make phone calls
• Purchase a scratch card and apply the credit to your prepaid account from your handset to activate your service.

Call Credit:
Dial 171 from your handset in order to receive call credit information.

Recharging Your SIM Card:
Mobilink Jazz scratch cards (vouchers) and Jazz Electronic Vouchers are very easy to find all over Pakistan and can be purchased at Mobilink centers, post offices, markets and at any Mobilink partners displaying the Jazz logo. These are sold in Rs 300 (~$5 USD), Rs 625 (~$10 USD), Rs 1000 (~$17 USD), Rs 1500 (~$25 USD) and Rs 2000 (~$33 USD) denominations.

Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVD) is an option by which you go to an authorized dealer and purchase a recharge. Rather than obtaining a pre-printed scratch-off card, you will obtain your recharge code on your receipt. Authorized EVD dealers are ABC Prepaid, PASPort, E-Charge and PSO-EVD.

Note: Please remember to refresh your account within 30 days of expiry of your account validity.

To charge the SIM with a voucher code proceed as follows:

• Scratch the silver coating at the back of your card to reveal the 14 digit code. (Obviously, this does not apply to Electronic Vouchers.)
• Dial 123 from your cell phone and follow the instructions.
• Enter the 14 digit code into the handset.
• You will receive notification when you have successfully applied your credit.

Detailed Rates:
There are two rate plans offered. The standard Jazz Easy (default) rate plan and the Jazz Octane plan. The latter offers the option of lower discounted calling rate for 3 "favorite" local numbers, discounted SMS text messaging and a discount card.(You may need to visit a Mobilink store to obtain one of these.) International rates are the same for both rate plans and both offer discounts on 3 "favorite" local numbers.

SMS messages can be up to a maximum of 160-characters per message.

Service Life:
Your Mobilink Jazz Pakistani SIM card is valid 3 months after activation. To reactivate your account contact your nearest Mobilink service centers or franchise center.

Customer Service:
Customer service for your Pakistan prepaid SIM card is available 24 hr./day by dialing 111 from your Pakistan cellular phone. To call from the US, you would dial 011-92-51- 2273984 . When prompted, choose 0 for the operator.

Multi-Country Travel
You can also purchase other SIM cards as well for other countries to where you may be traveling. (This option is good for those planning on doing a lot of local calling.)
