Your Kenya SIM Card Cell Phone Number:
Your cellular phone number for Kenya is displayed on the back of the SIM card package above the bar codes. The 10-digit phone number begins with "0".
Activating your service:

Recharging Your SIM Card:
Additional call credit can be added by purchasing Safaricom recharge cards. They are sold in denominations of 15 (~$9.30), 25 (~$15.50) and 40 (~$24.90) BGN at tobacco shops, magazine kiosks and any convenience store displaying the Safaricom logo. Even if you have zero credit - since incoming calls are always free - you will still be able to receive calls.
Once you have purchased a recharge card, simply follow these easy instructions:
- Simply scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code
- Dial 1330 from your own mobile phone
- Follow the instructions you hear to enter the code number
- Upon successful entry of the code, your account will be credited

Customer service for your Kenya prepaid SIM card is available 24 hr./day by dialing 123 at any time from your Kenya cellular phone. For problems with the phone or other hardware, contact Cellular Abroad at 001-310-862-7100 or email support@cellularabroad.com. If you are having a problem and you are unsure who to consult, please call Cellular Abroad or relay a message to us through a contact at home. Usually there is a simple fix. Our business hours are 8 AM to 6 PM Pacific Time, seven days a week.
Service Life:
You must add money to your SIM card at least once every 12 months or your account and corresponding phone number will be deactivated. The twelve month period begins from date of last recharge or initial activation.
Multi-Country Travel
You can also purchase other SIM cards as well for other countries to where you may be traveling. (This option is good for those planning on doing a lot of local calling.)
