Your Jordan SIM Card Cell Phone Number:
Your cellular phone number for Jordan is easily found in your Prepaid Jordan SIM Card package.
Important: Most US toll free numbers are not accessable from overseas. Be sure to get valid international numbers prior to your departure.
Phone setup:
- Be sure that your phone is fully charged.
- Snap out the SIM chip from the SIM card and insert the chip into your GSM Phone with the metal portion facing down as to make contact with the contact prongs. (You will usually find your phone's SIM tray underneath the battery of your GSM cell phone).
- You are welcome to personalize the phone options, as long as you do not attempt to make or receive any calls until you are in your destination country.
- You can change the menu language to English by following instructions in the Language Selection section below. You will not be able to change voice menus before arriving at your destination.
- Remember that all calls completed outside of the country are charged a roaming fee. It's best to wait until you're in the SIM home country to make phone calls with your SIM card.
Activating Your Service:
- Go to Jordan.
- Put the Jordan SIM card into the cell phone. *
- Be sure that battery is charged.
- Turn on your phone.
- Enter PIN number (if required) **
- Dial 155 from your mobile phone.
- Follow the voice prompts to select your language.
- You may start calling

** The Jordan SIM card should not prompt you for a 4-digit PIN code, however you may set one up for security purposes. A PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.
Recharging Your SIM Card:
Recharge cards, also known as airtim vouchers, may be purchased from local Tabac shops, convenience stores and other authorized retailers in Jordan. The vouchers are available in 4 denominations and validity periods as specified below.

Once you have purchased a recharge card, simply follow these easy instructions:
- Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal code
- Enter code using keypad
- Your SIM card is now recharged
Rates:
All rates are expressed in Jordan Dinars. For up-to-date currency exchange rates, use the Currency Converter. Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Jordan, all incoming calls are FREE regardless of origin.

Service Life:
You must recharge your card at least once every 90 days or you will forfeit your Jordan cellular number and remaining credit.

For problems with the cellular network or service dial 1777 or from a landline dial 0777 00 177. Internationally, you can dial +962 77 700177.
For problems with your cellular phone, contact Cellular Abroad at 00-1-310-862-7100 or email support@cellularabroad.com. If you're having a service issue, please call Cellular Abroad or relay a message to us through a contact back in North America and include any alternate phone numbers as well as the best time for us to call. Usually there is a simple fix. (It's also important to document any problems while you're abroad instead of after your return.)
Note: Toll free 800 numbers based in the US can not be called from overseas cell phones in most cases. If you are able to connect to an 800 number in the US, you will be charged for an international outgoing call.
