Your Hungary SIM Card Cell Phone Number:
Your phone number is in the Hungary SIM Card package. You will be able to give out your new number as soon as you receive your package

Activating your service:

• Go to Hungary
• Make sure your cellphone is fully charged.
• Insert the Hungary SIM card into your GSM phone*. Turn on phone
• Type in PIN 1
• Your first outgoing call will activate your service
• If you have any trouble getting started, dial 173 <send> for help

Call Credit:
Dial 171 from your handset in order to receive call credit information.

Recharging Your SIM Card:
Purchase a Recharge Card, called the "Feltoltokartya" only in Pannon GSM stores and in authorized Pannon GSM dealer outlets.

• Open up the packaging of the Feltoltokartya card
• Rub off the gray protective coating
• You will see the 14-digit secret code number
• Call the Pannon GSM number 171 from your own mobile phone
• Follow the instructions

Save time by starting your stay in Hungary with an additional 3,600 forints of talk time. This is about an extra hour of local peak time or 2 hours off-peak or 54 minutes back to the US. Combined with the $12 already on the SIM, this provides about an hour and a half of calls back to the States! (By the way, it's OK if you want to buy more.)

As soon as you arrive in Hungary, simply scratch off the protective panel, follow our instructions to enter the code number and your credit is applied. Knowing what the recharge cards look like and how to apply the credit, you’re one step ahead and loaded with call credit.

Below rates are expressed in US Dollars and are based on per-minute charges.

Service Life:
The Hungary SIM will expire 1 year from the activation date with all unused credit being forfeited and non-refundable. Recharging your SIM card extends the validity for another year from the recharge date.

Customer Service:
You may dial 173 from your mobile phone for customer service at any time.

Multi-Country Travel
You can also purchase other SIM cards as well for other countries to where you may be traveling. (This option is good for those planning on doing a lot of local calling.) We also offer an international roaming Talk Abroad™ SIM Card that is convenient for travel to multiple countries. (This option is useful for those wanting a single number for use in multiple countries and who will be making more calls back home than locally.)
