Our USB modem broadband is the perfect solution for browsing the internet and sending emails while in Australia. The USB data modem is compatible with your Mac or your PC. Rates are affordable and speeds, particularly where there is 3G coverage, is lighting quick. As the service is pay as you go, similar to the cellular service we offer for Australia, you are always in control of the expenses. We will send you the modem and instructions here in the US or Canada prior to your departure. That way, you are ready to go as soon as you arrive in Australia

How it works:

The service is pay as you go. You will need to order prepaid data bundles in 500MB denominations. Each 500 MB bundle is $29. Most people will start out with one or two bundles, depending on the length of their trip and usage. You can easily purchase more at any time from Cellular Abroad. You will receive the USB modem prior to your departure. Simply let us know what your departure and return dates. Coverage:
Mobile Broadband covers 96% of the Australian population and, as the modem is also 3G, there is 3G coverage available for 80% of the populations, primarily in major towns and cities. The service is on Optus’ network, one of the largest carriers in Australia.

Rates:
$29 will give you a bundle of 500 MB of data downloads which equates to approximately 1000 emails or 4000 web pages. You have up to 30 days from your departure date to use the 500 MB of data. If you run out, simply order more online or by calling Cellular Abroad. You will again have another 30 days to use 500MB of data.

Rental:
