Cellular Abroad was founded in 2002 by Sebastian Harrison, currently the CEO of Cellular Abroad, Inc. Harrison's vision to create a successful international communications business developed out of his personal experiences during his frequent overseas travels. With a cumulative experience of having lived and traveled overseas for over 20 years, Harrison is very familiar with international cellular options and has sought to share these superior solutions with North American travelers going abroad. In addition, our senior management has extensive knowledge, training and experience in customer service, marketing, distribution, business development and sales.
We are the US distributor for over 50 international carriers, thus offering the products and services previously only available in local markets to the American, Canadian and European markets.
Cellular abroad is also the company behind the National Geographic Travel Phone and Travel SIM, which is distributed through our website, through the National Geographic Society as well as numerous sites and brick and mortar retailers. We are the only authorized company to rent the National Geographic Travel Phone. The fact that the National Geographic Society has selected to collaborate with Cellular Abroad is indicative that our expertise, reliability and reputation are unparalleled.
In addition, Cellular Abroad distributes and provides the customer service for Travelocity branded international cellular services, yet another confirmation of Cellular Abroad’s leadership in the market.
